BALINTAWAK WALES

Balintawak Wales is a Filipino Martial Arts institute that specializes in the style of Balintawak Eskrima. 

The style predominantly uses the Single Stick but the concepts used can also be applied to Double Sticks, Knife, Stick & Knife and Empty Hands.

ESKRIMA

Eskrima is the national martial art of the Philippines.

The art emphasises on weapons-based training but as well as empty-hand techniques.

SUNTUKAN & SIKARAN

Panantukan is the empty-hand aspect in the art of Eskrima.

It is often referred to as ‘Dirty Boxing’ due to its use of head butts, elbow strikes, knee strikes, limb destructions, locking,  takedowns and body manipulations.

DUMOG

​Dumog is the grappling aspect in the art of Eskrima where the aim is to strategically make your opponent submit using ground submission techniques.
